TASTING NOTES:
Composed of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc, the medium to deep garnet-purple colored 2018 Haut-Simard jumps out of the glass with exuberant notes of redcurrant jelly, black raspberries and mulberries, plus touches of forest floor, mossy tree bark and tar with a hint of cinnamon stick. The medium-bodied palate has a solid structure of chewy tannins and well-knit freshness supporting the youthful, crunchy red and black fruits, finishing earthy.
